Citrus City Craft was never meant to be just another bar. We set out to build a community hub, a backyard escape, and a place where everyone, from hopheads and cocktail lovers to karaoke regulars and golf cart cruisers, feels right at home. Founded by longtime locals and industry vets Jeff and Jonny, Citrus City Craft opened its doors with one simple goal: create a place we’d want to hang out. That meant a space full of life, laughter, ice-cold beer, great music, and a team that actually cares about every pour and every person. Today, we’re proud to serve 49 rotating craft beers, a full cocktail and mocktail lineup, and a calendar packed with weekly events, live music, and community partnerships. Whether you’re here with your family, your dog, or your trivia team, Citrus is where Lake Mary comes to unwind.
The Legend of Tonka
Lake Mary’s Famous Beer-Drinking Horse
Every town has a story. Ours just happens to involve a beer-drinking horse. According to local lore, Tonka was a beloved horse owned by Harriet, a longtime Lake Mary resident. Before selling her land to the city, she struck a deal: Tonka would get a proper memorial, and a beer of his own. Today, Tonka rests at Lake Mary City Hall, immortalized not just in legend, but in our beer lineup. “A Horse Named Tonka” our easy-drinking house lager, brewed in honor of his legacy and everything a hometown should feel like: nostalgic, lighthearted, and a little quirky.

The name Citrus City Craft is a tribute to more than just flavor—it reflects the rich, sun-soaked soil and community spirit that define Central Florida. Just like the citrus groves that once covered this land, we’re here to cultivate connection, celebrate local flavor, and grow something meaningful.
Our hearts are planted firmly in Lake Mary, a town shaped by bold pioneers, deep family roots, and a sense of civic pride that still runs strong today. The town’s name comes from Mary Amelia Sundell, the wife of a minister whose family settled on the northern shore of the lake in the late 19th century. Her legacy is still felt in the warmth and character of this community.
History
Not long after, Frank Evans arrived in 1882 and helped lay the foundation for modern Lake Mary. He went on to found the Chamber of Commerce in 1923, build the Frank Evans Center (now the Historical Museum) in 1926, and advocate for improvements to infrastructure, education, and civic life.
Thanks to their efforts—and the generations that followed—Lake Mary grew from a quiet lakeside settlement into a thriving, tight-knit community full of makers, musicians, small business owners, and proud locals.
At Citrus City Craft, we’re proud to carry that legacy forward. From pouring craft beers made with purpose, to supporting the creatives and causes around us, we’re not just rooted in history—we’re growing with intention, one glass and one connection at a time.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation
We proudly host fundraising events in support of The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to funding research for childhood cancer. From head-shaving events to community drives, we believe in using our space for more than just pouring drinks—we pour purpose, too.
Dynamic Runners Club
In partnership with the Dynamic Runners Social Club, we sponsor a weekly run or walk that kicks off at the bar—Every Tuesday @ 6:30 PM. It’s free, welcoming, and the perfect excuse to move your body and grab a post-run pint. All paces and all faces welcome!
